“Whittakers World”
36″ x 24″ x 1 7/8″
Acrylic on Board.
I just finished this commission up for Sarah Petrescu out in Victoria. My little visual spin on the coastline we both grew up on. Whittaker’s were one of the first families of settlers to inhabit the area of Sechelt, BC in the early 1900’s. So I popped this reflection back through the salt waves on one of my coast cabin slants. Bringing it from the old to the new, so she could remember the bush style and broken down planks of what this place used to rock for architecture while shes holding it down over on those capital city streets.

Your art is gorgeous. Scrumptious. Lush. Psychotropic. Emblematic. This particular piece made me gasp out loud. Do you have a layaway plan for paintings???
I’d be interested in trade for advertising on Bigpacific.com, the Sunshine Coast’s regional web site for over 12 years. Let me know! In the meantime our family are such fans… let us know if you ever run a workshop or course.
